how to: custom bitmap as decal? (#2644)

I know there's a way to do this in shark, but I can't figure out how to "import?" a bitmap image to use as a decal. I read the manual and see that this is possible, but when I put the bmp in the correct folder, I don't see it in the render library. Anyone know the correct procedure? Thanks!

I'm not sure how it's supposed to work (after 10 years) - but I always open one of the pre-made textures .. then change it to what I want in photoshop and save it back to exactly where I found it. Only that way do I know the size, format and name all line up Not the best answer, but it might move you forward Agree the manual is pretty lacking in this regard
