Hi, I could use some help on this; these two parts were created from the combination of a solid and a thickened surface. To start with, I made the 'flat plate with bosses' as a solid, then made the curved surface above the solid, thickened it, then added the two solids together. My main question is; how can I remove the leftover edges and faces that are now on the interior of the homogenous solid? Also, is there a more efficient way to make these forms?
I'm a relative noob on 3D. I've had 2D/3D V7 for quite some time and just now starting to use it more (trying to, anyway). This is in Pro V8 Beta. I've drawn the same two parts in 2D/3D V7 with a little less difficulty, but I'm sure that even though I worked on them concurrently, I didnt do them in the same way.
Thanks for any help,
Stan

Instead of thickening the faces, extrude them normal to the flat surface, protruding beyond (through) each other, then intersect them rather than adding.

Duh! I see it now, thanks. Guess I was making it too hard, as usual. I finally had success by creating a net surface, at the contour I wanted, over the flat face and using Match Face. Extrude/Intersect looks more efficient.
Thanks!
