Redrilling a hole and adding countersink? (#4778)

Let's say I drill a hole in one of my parts. Later I decide I want to countersink that hole. When I use the hole tool and select the surface and the center of the current hole, it asks me if I want to project the point, and regardless of whether I do or not, the new hole is offset. How can I redrill the hole?

You go to Inspector -> Object Properties -> Data and change the hole type to Countersink

Unfortunately, this won't work for me. Either the hole is now a part of a solid or it was created by intersecting two solids, so there is no hole object to modify. I have tried all sorts of methods, including drawing a new circle on the solid surface I want to drill, but the result is always offset. Sorry for not providing the above details in my OP

You mean your solid is now an ASIC solid? Then chamfer the edge of the hole, or subtract a cone if the hole is in a non-plane surface.

If an ASIC solid, you can just remove the hole with the remove face tool. You can just put a guide so that you know where the previous hole was and redo a new type of hole in the same spot.
