Trim Solid & Split Solid Tools Revisited (#3770)

There seems to be such a large overlap of functions with these two tools that I think they could be condensed in to one. In fact I think if the Split Solid tool also worked with Curves, they would virtually be the same tool, if we ignore the fact that Trim removes one of the sections. One thing that isn't mentioned in the documentation - but I've just learned - is that they also work with solids as their 'knife' and if used appropriately, work in a similar way to the Subtract Solid and Intersect Solid tools. Use the Remove Links option to see and keep the effect. Anyway, the purpose of my posting here is to suggest that the (newly rationalised) Split/Trim Tool is made to work with multiple curves/surfaces/solids as slicing tools to avoid repetition, so you can do things like chop a solid into 'potato fries', or punch multiple holes by using all the selected objects as a cutter, rather than have to do it one at a time. This'd save loads of time for some jobs. Martin.
