I have used push pull on many occasions, but today it is refusing to "extrude" a circle... It's a flange on a right-angle worm gearbox, and I will attach the file - you can see the two concentric circles off to one side of the cube, I want to push these to form a flange attached to the main box... when selecting push, it does not allow me to highlight the face of the circle, removing the inner circle does not help...

any assistance would be appreciated...

I see your point. It fails to extrude with the push command. A bug. circles on x y z planes are okay but not this one. You might have to extrude with the regular extrude command with work plane disabled meantime using vector as your guide.

Thanks for the prompt response - I'll proceed as you suggest, or translate a cylinder from the axis - BTW I tried using other primitives (polygon) and these behaved in the same way

thx

Try setting the WorkPlane to the plane of the circle using WorkPlane : Select Objects.

THanks Tim, I worked around it, either by placing the item on the origin and pushing it, then translating to the correct location - or by using the extrude tool directly.... Your workplane suggestion is magic beyond my skill
level at the moment - (still transitioning slowly from AutoCad)
