Read this knowing I'm a newb to CAD work ...

I bought ViaCAD to create a profile for an extrusion my company needs. Done. But the company that will create the tool is being entirely unhelpful, and is not seeking a solution in a way I would expect for the amount of money I've paid them (into the thousands). I have sent them my file, exported in many different formats. Their CAD guy did try re-drawing his wire frames over my drawing, but he missed some critical dimensions and does not appear willing to try to fix them. He's been kind of a punk, to be honest.

What I need is help creating a native AutoCAD file from my ViaCAD file. Yes, I know there is a way to export it as such, and we've tried that. The problem he appears to be having is that I had my profiles 3D printed (there are 2 profiles), and extruded the ViaCAD file to 1" to test my part -- When they show up in my export, he says they are in 3D and there is no way for him to reduce them to 2D. I am sure there is a relatively simple fix, but the two of us are not able to do so.

Anyone out there familiar enough with both software formats (specifically the 2D features) to get this done in a way that will for sure work? I will PayPal $25 to try and $50 once he says he's got what he needs. But send me an email to [email protected] rather than using this forum (so I can send the files). Since this is proprietary, I'd like to send this file only to one or two people, so please include some background information so that I am comfortable using your help (like, why you are sure you can do this).

It may be as simple as reducing mine back to 2D, and then export as an AutoCAD file.
