Hello All
Ive been asked to calculate the fuel tank volume we have designed for a car, but Ive enclosed the whole fuel tank so its a solid model and also grouped the outside lines,
need to know the volume due to race regulations, at the moment when I select all its picking up 2 pcs of data only.

You could try zero offsetting just the fuel tank surfaces and then stitching into a solid. Tim

I have run into tho issue with other CAD apps before. I have had some success by making sure that the tank part is a solid part and then creating a solid cube that is larger than the tank, that encompasses that tank part. Then I boolean the two parts, removing only what is not inside the tank. So, the volumes of the tank PART and what is outside of it are not calculated. You could also remove the outside of the tank (just make a copy of your tank part and change it from a solid to surfaces, deleting the exterior surfaces of the part), and then making the inside a water tight SOLID part?
