I'm looking at the comparison sheet differences between ViaCAD Pro and Shark FX and have a couple questions.

What does the "G2 edge blending" in advanced surfacing look like in shark ?

What does Rib / Lip feature look like ?

Is there anywhere I can download the users manual for Shark to get a better understanding of some of the features it has over ViaCad Pro ?

How well does Shark import Parasolid files ?

How well does Shark import Solidworks files and what version does it import up to ? Also on this, which solidworks file extentions does it support ?

A new option appears for supporting "Curvature Continuous" edge blending. If you blend an edge, take a section cut through the blend and body and then do a Verify: Show Curvature on the section to examine the 2D curvature graph.

The link below also includes trial installers for LT and FX. The help menu provides access to the user guide.

I need to look into putting up some videos at master viacad for ribs/lips/curvature/groove/flange tools.

>>How well does Shark import Parasolid files ?
It was originally created for other Dassault products...
.x_t, .x_b ,versions 9.0.* – 28.0.*

.sldprt, .sldasm, versions 2003 – 2015

Attached is a part from SolidWorks rendered in ViaCAD Pro.

Parasolids, SolidWorks, NX, CATIA v5/v6, SolidEdge,& Inventor are only available on PC versions of FX.

Once you download the trial, a good source to test Parasolid & SolidWorks files is grabcad.
