I have just updated to vcad2d3d v9 build 1184, and found the following now happens.

Create any polygon on the x-y plane, and extrude along z-axiz, leave in wireframe mode.

Select the resulting solid and turn on the gripper. I then choose the dynamic rotate tool, and while I use it, the wireframe solid goes completely rendered. When I stop using the rotate tool, but with the tool still selected, the wireframe returns, but without the gripper. In order to get the gripper to return, I have to choose the select tool, (which de-selectes the solid), and re-select the solid, and then the gripper returns. Is this how it should work. I can repeat this.
