Hello One option that I can think of is to add the draft using the revolve solid tool. This would require the profile to be rotated 90 degrees then mirrored and added together to get 1 half. You can create a profile of an existing part by using the cut section tool. Regards Jason

Jason, Yes, that is a way. But while in all practical applications this would "work" however, technically, the draft would be less (and vary) from 0.1-89.9 degrees. Since the mold (mould for our EU friends), opens linearly, the draft should be linear as well. This means that either 1. The revolve starts "square" (no draft) is revolved thru 180 degrees and then linear draft added using the flat as the neutral plane, then the part mirrored OR 2. the center-line section is driven as an extrude mid-plane with our without draft and then the plan view diameters cut through. Anyway, thanks for the ping. Dean

Try using the parting line tool.

David, Yeah, I tried that and it is unsuccessful. I think there is too much going on with it for the system to calculate on this particular part. I will create it the way I know is "correct" and share an image. Thanks for the idea.
