vc3 is correct
dxf is 25.4 x bigger In the file Abdeckungen Küche Abzug.dxf, there is a problematic design element: 'Rounded Rectangle'. This is problematic for laser cutting and is exported as a polyline into the DXF file. I have converted it into lines and arcs for you. This works in ViaCAD via File > Change Object Type > Curves. Instead of creating curves, it converts them into lines and arcs. If you simply open the DXF using the Open function in ViaCAD, it will be imported incorrectly. This seems to be a bug in version 15. Therefore, always use the Import function with the correctly set unit to check it.

You just need to copy all files from C:\Users\%YourUsername%\AppData\Local\Punch!\Shark FX\ to C:\Users\%YourUsername%\AppData\Local\Punch!\SharkCAD15\ while the software is closed. This even works from Shark FX 9 to SharkCAD15 Pro.

You can also copy and edit the configuration file "C:\Users\%yourusername%\AppData\Local\Punch!\Shark FX\SFXShortcuts.ini". Searching (via "Show by name", part of the Powerpack) is possible within item names. Therefore, it is useful to assign names not only to layers but also to entities. I always use the same name for the solid (entity) as for the layer, and I use one layer per solid.
|
|
The Windows version of version 15 performs better when handling large files with many objects in a single layer. Additionally, the "Linear Duplicate" function works faster. The new limit for objects in a layer appears to be 100,000. Up to this value, I can work smoothly and without delays.

I upgraded to SharkCAD 15 Pro and found no errors during my initial tests. Copilot appears to be an integrated web browser with AI support but is as sluggish as the symbol display. Relevant analyses are only possible with a Pro version that isn’t integrated. My favorite bug, where operations are canceled when using Multiselect and In-Stream Zoom commands, hasn’t been fixed. But I can live with that – the developers apparently love that it doesn’t work properly. It is allowed to install the software on multiple computers as long as it is used by only one user. This can you open at the symbol over the inspector-symbol. With this can you setup the end reference point to your Zero-Point. I never use the grid. Do you really need a grid for your work? I set my work planes always with Work-Plane> Select Objects. I have a Keyboard Shortcut for it, this is the best method for changing work planes.

I have a nice Netbook with a AMD C-70 APU and this Software run there with a very good performance. I guess this Software use the most time just one thread, and if you have 20 Threads are 19 not in use.
Why you dont need the nice rotating-function? This works better than in every other CAD Software.
Rotating the View works also with the Alt+Right Mouse Button, and Changing the Rotating Midpoint works with Alt+RightMouse and CTRL and Click at the right snap point. When the middle mouse button works correctly you need only Middle Mouse+Ctrl+Click at Snap Point for changing the midpoint. This works not with the select tool in hand, because then are the snaps off, but with any other tool in hand.

And the unroll feature, The unroll feature is slow..... But i have to say, SharkViaPunchCAD is better and it was anyway a waste of money.
Assembling is in SharkViaPunchCAD a Pain, have somebody a alternative low price solution for better assembling? TurboCAD is to slow, I guess 2019/2020 is slower than previous version and i dont know how there assembling works. In TorboCAD is also Construction a pain which is in SharkViaPunchCAD very easy.

Copy and paste the model to a new file. Delete the history. (File> Compact> "Remove History" and "Purged Deleted") Compact your file every half hour and save it. And do not use groups, make all with layers.

Maybe a workaround to whatever issue you're experiencing, a powerful tool in its own right. Good idea. You apparently get the points by displaying them with selecting and Ctrl+D. AND then you can draw the polyline and discard the spline curve. As far as I’ve tested, this doesn’t work with Edit > Change Object Type.

Hello, On Mac, it works ok. But on Mac, you need an upgrade every year for 600 dollars.
