I revisited the ACIS documentation regarding projections and imprints but did not find an option for first imprint. Kinda like our hole that has through, first blind, etc.
I'll need to send them an email.

Rokoko,
No imprint in VicaCAD V10 on the inside of the goblet. Here is another screenshot:

In your display options, you are using "Phong with edges". Change it to just Phong. Mitch

Hi Guys, This is probably a dumb question but... how do I now delete the text off goblet ? I added blends to the face surfaces & the blending into the cup. I try to select text and cut, I try to select text and hit delete key on keyboard but to no avail. Most of the time I try these and as many variations I can think of & ViaCAD Pro 10 freezes up ! Did I wreck it ?? Thanks, Jesse

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me rokoko. I tried like you said and it does not work, in fact ViaCad Pro 10 locks up upon me selecting and hitting delete. My drawing looks a little different than the one you are showing. I extruded the letters and curved the edges like Tim showed me. Maybe this requires something different ? Thanks, Jesse

If you have an example file with steps to repeat for any crash or lock up please send to link below and we will look into.

Your letters are pulled out to 3-dimensional volumebodies. Then DeepSelect means only the surface in front and not the whole object

Hi Horst, Yes you are correct it seems. I thought I have explained the 3-dimensional thing but I think I failed ! It seems like I can also individually choose the radius ? parts I added to face and where it joins cup. However whenever I make any of these choices the software locks up. I am trying to remove name completely to add a different one if it helps to know that. I feel like I can understand why it can't just delete part of the letters but I can't seem to choose all of a letter to delete. Hope that makes sense. I am trying to upload the file for Tim because I think he is also worried about the software "locking up" and I end up having to do a force quit on my Mac to restart the software. The file is too big apparently so I am hoping he tells me what to do at this point to share. It would figure I am just getting into this stuff and I am already wrecking it ! Thanks, Jesse

Hi Jesse
Can you zip the file and send using the bug reporter link below? The link below has a larger attachment size then the forum attachments.

Hi Tim, I tried again and it did not work. The file is 7.8 MB, when I zip it 7.6 MB. The link again said it only accepts 2 MB. What can I do ? Thanks, Jesse

Please just take this as a suggestion, I have done it many times myself. Start over as a new file. I don't see how the file should be 7.8 MB. Maybe too many different operations and edits have caused problems. Larry

Hi Banasky, Thanks for the advice. I think you mean delete the one I am trying to work with and make a whole new one ? I don't have a clue how big a file I should have, 7.8 MB seems small to me in general but I have no clue I guess on drawing files. Granted this is a relatively easy drawing to make again but.... I hate to think this might happen again on a more involved drawing ? And it still doesn't seem to explain why the new software I upgraded to is crashing.
